When connecting your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to your computer, you might have come across a 0XE error. Some of the most common errors in this category include 0xe800001c, 0xc00007b, and 0x8000015. In this post, I will show you how to solve these iTunes errors.
Common solutions for iTunes 0xE errors
If iTunes keeps displaying the 0xE errors, apply the following fixes:
- Update your iTunes to the latest version
- Ensure that you have the latest version of Windows or your Mac OS
- Check if your USB cable is working perfectly. You can do this by connecting another device using the same cable
- If a pop-up appears asking you to trust the computer, make sure you tap Trust
- Try different ports to find out those that work and those that don’t
- Try using another computer
- Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod
- Restart your computer

How to fix the 0xE iTunes errors on Windows PC
- Disconnect and then reconnect your iOS device to your computer
- Press Ctrl + Alt + Esc to open the Task Manager
- Select iTunes
- Right click and Select End Task
- Open Settings
- Select Add or Remove Programs
- Select iTunes and click Uninstall
- Wait for it to uninstall completely
- Go to C:\Program Files\
- Ensure the iTunes, Bonjour, and iPod folders are completely deleted
- Go to the iTunes download page
- Select and download the newest version of iTunes
- Install it and open it
How to solve iTunes 0xE errors on Mac
- Press and hold down the Option Key
- Click on the Apple Menu
- Select System Information or System Report
- Select USB from the list that appears on the left
- Uninstall third-party software if you see an iPhone, iPod, or iPad under the USB Device Tree
If you are on Windows and your iTunes is giving you this error yet the above solutions haven’t solved your problem completely, you might want to check your iTunes drivers. Make sure they are functioning correctly and if they are outdated, ensure to update them to the latest version.
