How does the Amazon Flex driver app work?
As an Amazon Flex driver, you get to do deliveries for:
- Customer packages are picked up at the delivery station and delivered to their destined customers. As a result, you should complete your work within the scheduled time, usually between three to six-hour blocks.
- Store orders are picked up from local stores between two to four hours.
- Groceries and household items from Prime Now and Amazon Fresh. They are picked up from an Amazon delivery station and delivered in two to four-hour blocks.
- Delivery of instant offers that are only available in limited areas. They can start from your current location and last 15 to 45 minutes.
How much does Amazon Flex pay?
An Amazon Flex driver can earn approximately $18 to $25 per hour. Your driver’s earnings depend on your location, tips you receive, the duration it takes you to complete your deliveries, and other factors.
The good news is that you are in control of your schedule. You can deliver as many packages as you want. Some locations have a voluminous amount of delivery throughout the year, while others operate with seasons.
You can check your pay on the Earnings screen on the Amazon Flex app. The payments are processed on Tuesday and Friday through a direct deposit to your bank account. If you complete a delivery that qualifies for tips, payment will be made once all the tips have been finalized within one or two days after delivery.
How many Amazon Flex blocks can you do in a week?
Amazon Flex blocks are scheduled shifts you work on as an Amazon Flex driver. You can work on shifts either during the daytime or nighttime. A normal Amazon Flex block can operate between four to eight hours daily. That is approximately 28 to 40 hours weekly.
Remember, the blocks that you can accomplish within the above time are your limit. The best time to get delivery blocks is early morning because there are fewer drivers and less competition for delivery blocks.
