How to add family members to Apple Music

One of the advantages of Apple Music Family sharing is that you can create profiles for your family members which allows everyone to create their playlists without interfering with another person’s music.

Apple Music Family is connected to iOS family sharing meaning that you need an iCloud account to use it.

Family subscriptions need you to set up Family Sharing using a supported device. The person who sets up the Family Sharing becomes the family organizer.

After doing this, you can add new people by inviting them to your family group.

How to add family members to Apple Music

  1. Go to Settings from your Home Display, scroll down to the iCloud subcategory, select Set Up Family Sharing, and then select Get Started.
  2. Confirm your choice to be the family organizer. (Ensure you have signed in with your Apple ID).
  3. Follow the directions on your screen to create the Family Sharing Group. Invite a family member to join your group.
  4. Follow the Settings application from your Home Display. Go to iCloudFamily > Add Family Member. Input your family member’s e-mail ID.
  5. Your family member will receive an e-mail with directions concerning joining the group. After sending the invite, you can check its status by following these steps. SettingsiCloud > Family on your iOS device.
  6. Select setup Family Sharing > Get Started > Validate your choice as the family organizer. (Ensure you are signed in with your Apple ID).
  7. Follow the instructions on your screen to set up the grouped family sharing Group, and request your loved ones People to become listed on The Group
  8. Start the Settings program out of your Home Display, Head to iCloudFamily > Add relative.
  9. Enter your family member’s members e-mail ID and name. Your family member will be sent an e-mail with instructions on how to join the combined group.
  10. Once you’ve delivered the invitation, you can check its position by entering Adjustments > iCloud > Family on your iOS device.

How do I add family members to Apple Music for PC Or Mac?

  1. Go to iTunes.
  2. Select Music on the upper left side of your screen, and click For You at the top of the iTunes window.
  3. Click Sign In, then change to a Family subscription. If you had used a trial version, tap the trial offer.
  4. Select Get Started, then click the Family option.
  5. Enter the Apple ID and password that you use with the iTunes Store. If you don’t have an Apple ID, click Create Account.

  1. Download the app from Google Play
  2. Open the Apple Music. If you can’t see the app then tap the menu icon in the upper-left, then select For You.
  3. Enter the Apple ID and password that you use with the iTunes Store. If you don’t have an Apple ID, click Create Account.

Apple Music family sharing is not working

  • If some songs present an issue just redownload them and see if the issue persists.
  • Restart your device or force restart it.
  • Refresh your connection by toggling off and back on again to Apple iCloud Music Library.
  • Close the Music App and any other apps that play music.

  • Close high-quality streaming
  • Turn off LTE and Mobile Data and connect by WiFi or the opposite.
  • Try deleting the Apple Music app and then reinstalling it.
