In this current day and age, we have all been victims of group spam more than once; let’s face it; they are very annoying. Spam messages are also harmful since hackers develop them to infiltrate your personal information.
Many Telegram users have complained about spam messages and how they are ruining their experience on the app.
The CAS ban may sound like a new word to most people, but it isn’t. It is a feature introduced on Telegram that prevents spam messages on your account. This article will explain more about the combot ban and what it does.
CAS ban meaning
CAS ban means Combot Anti-Spam, an automated system that detects spammers on Telegram groups. They can be used for commercial purposes, including your commercial Telegram bots. If you want to activate it, add cas.chat as an active link to your service or bot description page with “Powered by CAS” or similar words that clearly state that CAS is used.
Unlike the group ban where the group admin bans you, the CAS system bans you without a human factor hence more severe. Therefore, you should be cautious in a CAS-secured group or be banned from Telegram for life.
What does a combot do?
It is a trigger system mostly used to moderate, analyze and detect Telegram messenger scammers in group chats. The perks of using this system are that it is free, and the bans can be customized to your preference.
If any user is in a CAS-secured group and has a ban record, they are immediately banned from the group. Therefore, to ensure you are not banned, do not spam or send any messages that will cause you to be banned.
What happens when I am CAS banned?
When the CAS system bans you, you cannot join any group or channel on Telegram.
How to undo a ban on Telegram
If you have received a group ban, you can contact the group admin or Telegram support to unban them. The ban lasts about 28 to 30 days to get your account back.
On the other hand, if you have received the CAS ban, unfortunately, you cannot undo it. They are permanent, non-negotiable, and not even the combot community service cannot help you. They can only assist you if it has been confirmed that you have been wrongfully banned, and they may further assist you.
