How To Cancel Automatic App Billing On Your IPhone

If you are a fan of Apple products, whether it is Apple Music, Magazines, Videos, or iCloud services, you will agree that knowing how to unsubscribe is more important than knowing how to subscribe. We all get lured by the many free trials, offers, and free trials on the iTunes platform. We may decide to subscribe for a month, a few months or a year of the product or service but a few months down the line, we get bored and want to quit. If you want to cancel app subscription on your iPhone, I will show you how to do it in this post.

Unlike a one-time purchase that only charges you once, a subscription is a recurring purchase that bills you once more when the subscription expires until you opt out. The latter type is the major characteristic of all subscriptions on the Apple platform. However, there is a slight variation based on the duration of subscription, with most apps running anywhere between 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, and 1 year.

The key to evading the bait of a free trial is to cancel the subscription before it begins to cost you money. It is wise to make a proper timing, as you can cancel your subscription and yet it still renews. How? Well, if you wait until it is too late, probably until you are within the 24-hour mark to the time of subscription renewal, then you are likely to be billed and have to pay for services you actually never enjoyed.

Different approaches for cancelling a subscription often differ with the version of iOS running your device.

IPhones, iPads, iPod Touch, and Apple TV can be cancelled for automatic billing based on whether they run iOS 11, or an iOS version that is above or below iOS 10.
