Cydia Impactor won’t recognize my iPhone? How to fix

1. Use a different USB cable

To know if the problem is with the USB cable you are using, you should try a new one. If it works, then keep using it to avoid the error.

If it doesn’t work, then the problem is not with the USB cable. So, you should try the next fix.

2. Connect using a different USB port

Sometimes it might be issues with the USB port that is causing the error. In such a case, you should try connecting to a different USB port to fix the error.

Even better, disconnect all other peripheral devices from the computer temporarily; except the attached mouse and keyboard.

3. Update iTunes

The error can also occur when iTunes is not installed on your computer or when it is outdated. To fix, you have to install the latest version of iTunes.

You should restart your computer thereafter. Reconnect your iPhone to the computer and run Cydia Impactor again to see if the problem is solved.

4. Update Cydia Impactor

  • Open Cydia Impactor

  • Click on Check for update. An available update will be downloaded.
  • Click on Install to finish the update.


5. Use another computer

If all the above methods don’t work for you, try changing the computer. If you are using a laptop you can try using the PC if you have one.
