Game Center used to be one of the best places to hang out on your apple device. You could challenge your friends with iPhones, iPods, or iPads on various cool games like Chess Online and Fruit Ninja. Those were the days when I really had high hopes for the future of the application. The developers did not find anything more to add nowadays; it has not changed much –in fact, it comes as an optional add-on in iOS 10 and 11.
If you want to use Game Center but don’t know how to log in or log out, this tutorial will help you grasp the app and operate it.
How do I log into Game Center?
This depends on the version of iOS running your device. For post iOS 10 devices, log into Game Center by navigating to “Settings > Game Center” and check their menu to create a Game Center profile. If you have an account already, log in using your email address and password.
How to reset the Game Center password
If you forgot your game center password or want to change the existing password, sign out of your game center app by navigating to “Settings > Game Center > Apple ID”. After signing out, try to sign in again, so you will be required to either input new credentials.
On the text boxes containing the email address and password slots, you will find a password reset button which will lead you to all the necessary steps to resetting the password.
Log out of Game Center
Logging out of Game Center is just as easy as logging in. Go to Settings > Game Center Preference > Game center. However, signing out will require you to sign in again when you launch a game, meaning that the app is still active. The sign-in prompt appears as a banner when you launch the game and can be a major source of distraction.
The best thing is to “Turn off Game Center App,” which disables the banner. If you disable the banner by turning off the game center, your current achievements are not lost. Rather, they are stored in your account.
How to turn off Game Center
Turning off Game Center is very different from logging out of the game center. Tap on Settings > Game Center > Game center (switch off button). This will automatically log you out of the app Game Center and turn the app off. This means that the next time you launch a game, the device will not require you to log into the game center, which can sometimes be a distraction to your gaming experience.
