How To Remove Music From iPhone Lock Screen

With the recent iOS 11 updates, some iPhone users have cited the music app on getting stuck on the lock screen. This can be very annoying and remove it can be a pain in the back too.

To remove the stuck music app, however, you can follow these steps. Before applying them though, make sure that you close the music as it is natural for the app to pop up once music is playing and will stay around for some time after you stop the music on your phone. So be patient first. If the music app is still stuck after some time you should consider the following suggestions.

Steps to remove your music app from the lockscreen

  1. Close the Music Application

To do this press the home button to go to the home screen then double tap the home button to go to recent screens. From here you can close the music app by swiping it up the screen.

  1. Uninstall the problematic app on your iPhone

Some music app could be having problems on your iPhone and you can remove them from your iPhone by Press holding your iPhone screen until the apps start to wobble.

Press the ‘X’ icon on the music app you want, then click uninstall on the popup dialogue box that will appear.

  1. Bluetooth

The app may just be working fine or still engaged by the Bluetooth output device. This could be headphones or your car stereo. Consider disconnecting the devices and switching off Bluetooth on all the two devices. You should consider forgetting the devices before reconnecting them again.

  1. Reboot your iPhone

If all the other cannot work out for your iPhone you will have to reboot your phone.

On iPhone X press hold the power button and the volume down for 10 sec until your iPhone displays the Apple logo on the screen. For iPhone 8, iPhone 7 to iPhone 6s you can use the same as iPhone x. For iPhone 6, iPhone 5s, 5c, 5 and 4s press the power button and the home button until the iPhone logo shows up.
